कात्तिक १४ - अफगानिस्तानमा खटिएका बेलायती सेनाको रोयल गोर्खा राइफल्समा कार्यरत दुई नेपालीको गोली हानी हत्या गरिएको छ। अफगानी प्रहरीको वर्दी लगाएका व्यक्तिले आज गोली हान्दा उनीहरुको मृत्यु भएको बेलायती सञ्चार माध्यम 'डेली मेल' ले जनाएको छ। दुवै सैनिक द रोयल गोर्खा राइफल्सको फर्स्ट बटालियनमा कार्यरत रहेको बताइएको छ। उनीहरुको नाम सार्वजनिक गरिएको छैन। तर मृतकका आफन्तलाई खबर गरिसकिएको बेलायती सेनाले जनाएको छ। अफगानिस्तानको हेल्मन्ड प्रान्तको नहर-ए- सराज जिल्लामा यो घटना भएको हो। यसअघि यो वर्षमात्रै अफगानिस्तानमा ५६ विदेशी सैनिकको मृत्यु भइसकेको छ।

भद्रपुर-८ निवासी ३८ बर्षिय चौधरीले भानुनगरस्थित आफ्नै साइकल पसलमा शनिवार बेलुकी झुण्डिएर आत्महत्या गरेका हुन् । शनिवार दिनभर पसल बन्द रहेपनि बेलुकी साढे ४ बजे पसलको एउटा ढोका खुलेर कोही नभएको मौका छोपी उनले आत्महत्या गरेको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयले जनाएको छ । प्लाष्टिकको डोरिमा झुण्डिएको अवस्थामा जिउँदै फेला पारिएका चौधरीलाई उपचारका लागि स्थानीय ओम साइ अस्पताल लगिएकोमा उपचारकै क्रममा राति ९ बजेतिर उनको मृत्यु भएको थियो ।
केही दिनदेखि पार्टीको राजनैतिक दवावका परेर मानसिक तनावमा रहेका चौधरीले आफ्नो इमान्दारिता बचाउनलाई आत्महत्या गरेको आफुले लेखेर छाडेर गएको सुसाइड पत्रमा उल्लेख गरिएको पाइएको छ ।
दोस्रो जनआन्दोलनपछि मधेशी पार्टीका क्रियाशील कार्यकर्ताको रुपमा चिनीएका चौधरी पछिल्लो समयमा मधेशी जनाधिकार फोरम मधेशका भाग्यनाथ गुप्ता समूहमा रहेका थिए ।

Actress Rejina Upreti was invited as a guest in a Dashain program organized by Srijansil Leicester Nepal, UK to exchange best wishes among the Nepali people living in the city. The program was held in Everest Dine restaurant, located at the main center of Leicester.

In the program, Rejina danced in a Kunti Moktan song, "Laliguras Ajambari …" song. She also danced in the item song of ‘Loot‘, "Udreko Choli Chha hai…" The participants had enjoyed the dances and had also participated by dancing in the tune.

In the event, typical Nepali food including sel roti, kakro aachar, and goat meat. The floor dance and dohori had continued till the dawn.
Rejina Upreti had gone to the UK to celebrate Dashain and meet her boyfriend.

Nepali movie "RITU" said to be produced jointly by Nepalese, American And Australian Companies, Apil Bista Filns, Planet 3 Films And AALP Entertainment respectively has released its first look.Publicity designer Apil Acharya writing a press release has released movie's posture.
Non Nepali Residence (NRN) Manoj Adhikari living in Australia for a while is debuting as a director in the movie.It is said in the Press release that 90 percent of its shooting will be done in Australia which will be started from the first week of December and the remaining 10 percent in Nepal.The story of the movie is written by Sandip which grasped the second position in Script Writing Competion a few weeks ago.

After a break of two years director Ramraja Dahal is all set to direct upcoming Nepali movie 'Virus'.Already have had directed 3 movies before, Ramraja issuing a press meet said his team is all set to get started the shooting of 'Virus'.Though title looks like something connected to the technology but Ramraja informed the title to be just the coincidence rather the movie is about the "Dreams of every common people , that comes true in someone's life and not in everyones.It is said to be one line story of the movie.To be produced under the banner of Dream Work Films, Virus features Aditya Budhathoki, Wilson Bikram rai(Takme), Rabi Giri, Rashmi Bhatta, Shishir Pokharel and debut actress Sona Timalsina  and hot Sushma Karki in the lead role.Director Dahal's search of fresh face had ended after meeting introducing actress Sona Timilsina who has done some Short Movies and Modeling in Australia.

Online piracy of Nepali Movie 'Sayad' which was released a few months ago is now a major problem for Hightech Entertainment.It has just brought the DVDs and VCDs of Nepali movie 'Sayad' in the market a week ago.Just in a couple days the movie was uploaded in some video hosting sites and available online in various entertaining websites.
But, interesting and more stressful fact is , the pirated movie doesn't belongs to High Tech says the Director of HighTech Entertainments Rajendra Manandhar.No logo of his company is found in the copied movie which made it mystery about who did the piracy.Manadhar adds 'Sayad Production Company' had kept the Name of 'Hall and the Country' while releasing the movie which are also not seen in the pirated ones which has tensed him alot.

Nepali short movie "Nepal Aama" is doing its charity show to support injured combatants of People's Movement 2062/2063 B.S.Directed by Nischal Shrestha 'Nepal Aama' features the tragic story of Nepal's unstable political state and the neglegience of irresponsible political leaders to the people, martyrs, warriors and Nation.
Shuvadra Adhikari, Yadav Silwal, Keshab Ethapit, Narayan Shrestha, Mahesh Dahal etc are seen in the movie.25 minutes long movie is not a commercial but it is to raise fund from the charity show that would be utilized in supporting injured combatants, Health and Education of kids from the poor family, director Basnet explained.

Raju Giri who a little while ago directed sex themed movie 'Bindas' is again directing another movie on the same sex issue.Film titled 'Rakshya' was said to be produced last year is scheduled to commence its shooting from the second week of kartik of Nepali Calendar, Giri informed.

Finally, Actor and Producer Nawal Khadka is elected for the presidency of Film Devlopment Board Nepal.Khadka has been elected for this top post on Saturday with enough votes of 259 which is 70 more than his compititor Giridhari Bastola 'Sabin' who got 159 votes in the election.Association is formed with 21 newly elected members from the 19th election of Film Devlopment Board.
Laxmi Giri and Rajaram Poudel with 149 and 125 votes respectively got the post of first and second vice president.
Besides, Sumina Ghimire, Pujana Gurung' Stri' Sushmita Karki, Manoj Shrestha, Sushil Pokhrel, Pradeep Singh, Bijaya Deuja, Shankhar B.C. Saroj K.C ,and Sriram Pudasaini are other elected members of the board.Sumina Ghimire received the maximium votes of 173 and became most voted member.For the same post Rekha Thapa, Sambhujeet Baskota and few more artists have shown their candidacy.

Upcoming Nepali movie 'Kuntha' made under the banner of Shine Entertainments has featured senior actress Mausami malla in the role of prostitute.Directed by Anup Giri who has the experience of Video editing , cinematography, animations is debuting as director of big screen movies in Kuntha.Anup already had worked on some short Nepali movies.Kuntha has commenced  its shooting from the second week of last month and also concluded in the end of the same month.Shot by Niraj Kandel , Kuntha also features Robin Pokharel and Suraj in the lead role.

Niten Memorial School(NMS) in Tokha, Kathmandu is going to organize Inter School Music Band Competion.NMS  is organizing first inter school musical band challenge on Ashoj 28 of Nepali calendar.Eleven different School will be taking part in the competition from Kathmandu and Lalitpur.The judges in program are Misel Triller(Switzerland Singer), the lead vocalist of one of the top nepali musical bands Robin N The New Revolution's Robin Tamang and Dipesh Singh, Mukti And Rivivals' Mukti Shakya, Sanjay Shrestha from famous band 1974 A.D. and other musicians.

The most controversial Nepali movie 'ATM' has to reshoot its dirty scenes included in the movie after the Censur Board said them to remove.After being censured majority of the scenes are to be reshot.As the movie already has reached the climax of controversy and also popularity the production team doesn't want to speak regarding reshot which they think would have negative impact on the movie.
Directed by Yadav Silwal and produced by Dinesh Thapa who is also the actor of the movie, ATM's one of the censured scenes is shot in swimming pool where the glamorous pose of Actresses Jiya K.C, Sabeena Karki and Soniya Sharma can be seen.
ATM is scheduled to release on 17th Kartik of Nepali calendar.

For the first time in history Nepali film award was going to be organized abroad(Dubai) which is now postponed.The organizers are found to be not yet prepared and apparently, the huge event is now postponed or perhaps cancelled which was scheduled to be held on 11-12th October 2012 in Dubai City.As stated in Top Nepali filmy site www.xnepali.net, the reasons behind postponement are cited below:


1. Organizer RK Subedi’s mother got critically ill (our get well soon wish) and had to be hospitalized. It seems the event was one man show. When one of the organizer is busy, the whole show need to be postponed.

2. The artists like Rajesh Hamal, Karishma Manandhar, Dipak Limbu, Deepak Raj Giri, Deepa Shree Niraula, Baboo Bogati, Mandabi Tripathi, Yes Kumar etc. refused to be attend the event. It’s odd, how can the organizers feature the artists in their banner even before they had confirmed their attendance.

Artists are very busy people and having all of them in an event, that too in a foreign country, is not an easy task. It needs months of preparation and confirmation before the program schedule is prepared. It is very sad to know that the film award was planned in such an unprofessional way.
